Pacific Zone “Non” Rally
February 22 – 25, 2011

    This was called a “non” rally by the wagon masters, Leah and Joe Clark, because it was just an informal, dry camping get-together at the Indio Fair Grounds.  Besides Leah and Joe, Bob and Hedy Downing, Clark and Reba Lovrien, and Sam and Barbara Howe camped.  Jerry and Peggy Haley and Bill and Marie Scully visited for Happy Hours. We shared coffee and pastries in the mornings and Two Buck Chuck and hors d’oeuvres for Happy Hours, along with great fellowship.

    We enjoyed the food, date shakes, shopping, entertainment, bird show, camel milking demonstration, ostrich and pig races, and the Arabian Nights Pageant at the Date Festival.  It was fun watching the farm animas at the fair and talking with the 4-H and Future Farmers of America members. We admired what these young people are doing. The displayed fine art, photography, crafts, and quilts were awesome. There are a lot of talented people!
