Lloyd Hendry: September 4, 2011 from San Angelo, Texas. He was a Rolling Rotarian.

Lloyd was a special person who touched many lives in a positive way and will be remembered as one who never knowingly hurt another human being. He is survived by his beloved wife, Leanorah, who was the light of his life; two sons, John Hendry of Richardson, Texas, and Jay Hendry of San Angelo; grandchildren Joshua Hendry of Richardson, Tyson and Brandy Hendry of Atlanta, Saresa Hendry of Atlanta; and great-grandson Liam. He is also survived by stepson Michael Huddleston and his wife, JoLynne, and their children, Jason Huddleston and Jennifer Green and husband Kalen, and their children, Sara Lindsay and Jackson.

Lloyd married Leanorah Harding aboard the S.S. Constitution in the harbor at Honolulu, Hawaii, on July 23, 1988. They built their dream home at Bentwood Estates. Lloyd and Leanorah were patrons of the Celebration Bridge and purchased two benches near the Rotary water feature. One was dedicated to the memory of his mother, Ida Hendry. Lloyd and Leanorah's bench is inscribed: "Our lives were destined to be intermingled. We cannot imagine a world without each other."

Lloyd was an active and enthusiastic member of the San Angelo Rotary Club and served as president in 1997-1998. His love for Rotary and its ideals, his loyal attendance at meetings, conferences and international conventions made him sought after as a speaker at various Rotary clubs. Two of his proudest moments were being named Rotarian of the Year for 1994-1995, and receiving the Paul Harris Fellowship in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations between peoples of the world. In 1995-1996, Lloyd was one of a handful of Rotarians who struggled and succeeded in establishing the San Angelo Rotary Scholarship Endowment Fund. They were members of the Thousand Trails Resorts club, the Rolling Rotarians and the Rotary International RV Fellowship. Lloyd served as the Central Zone director for six years.
